Who is Jan Fable?

janI live and work in Fairfield, Connecticut. I am a former educator and have been a psychotherapist for more than 25 years. I have a master’s degree in counseling and am a Connecticut licensed substance abuse counselor and a trained intervention facilitator. My clients have come from the tri-state area of Connecticut, New York and Massachusetts, as well as from as far away as California, London and Paris.

Training

My major training is in Bioenergetic Analysis, one of the oldest of the modern mind/body therapies, with both the Connecticut and New York Societies for Bioenergetic Analysis.

I am highly experienced in treating trauma survivors and people with dissociative disorders. I have had extensive training through programs at Four Winds Hospital (South Salem, New York), Silver Hill Hospital (New Canaan, CT), Greenwich Hospital (Greenwich, CT), and the Institute for Advanced Clinical Training (Philadelphia, PA).

Additionally, I received training in the use of altered states of consciousness in healing with California psychologist Ronald Jue, who is an associate of the Dalai Lama, and through the Institute for Advanced Clinical Training.

I’ve done the Level I and II training in Thought Field Therapy at the Institute for Advanced Clinical Training in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Other tools I draw on when appropriate are breath and bodywork, guided imagery, visualization, meditation, Reiki, hypnosis, and expressive therapies such as art, sound and movement in support of transformational change. These tools can promote a letting go of conscious, linear thinking and allow you to be more fully with yourself and help you to hear your inner voice.
